On September 9-10, 2023, USNSCC 9-1-1 Division cadets met for the September Drill.
The drill's Saturday part took place at the Van Patten Woods (Youth Campground ) in Wadsworth, Illinois.
Cadets enjoyed exploring Van Patten Woods Youth Campground while learning navigational skills. We also had enough time for team-building activities.
On the same day, cadets from the Trident Origins Marksmanship team attended the Zoombie Shoot Event in Aurora. They were able to view multiple displays and sharpen their SASP skills.
On Sunday, the unit hosted its first PRT of the season and practiced some landscape navigation. This drill took place at the NTAG Great Lakes Building.
At the end of the drill, we also hosted SASP tryouts for any new potential members—anyone who made the team received an invitation to join.
