On June 22, 2023, a heartwarming event took place to support our veterans through the Veterans Network Connection (VNC) in Northern Illinois. The event featured a recruiting drive and a silent auction, both of which raised awareness and funds for the VNC Honor Flight program.
Recruitment Table Staffed by Cadets
At the event, dedicated cadets took charge of a recruitment table, spreading the word about the VNC Honor Flight program. Their enthusiasm and commitment were inspiring as they engaged with attendees and shared information about this noble cause. The cadets' presence added a sense of purpose and energy to the event, drawing in more supporters for the VNC.
Senior Cadets Supporting Silent Auction
Meanwhile, out of uniform but still proudly representing their values, senior cadets played a crucial role in the silent auction. They helped organize the auction items, assisted bidders and ensured the auction ran smoothly. Their efforts contributed significantly to the fundraising initiative's success, generating essential funds for the VNC Honor Flight program.
This event was a beautiful example of community support and dedication to honoring our veterans. Through the combined efforts of cadets, organizers, and attendees, the VNC's mission to serve and support veterans in Northern Illinois was furthered, positively impacting the lives of those who have bravely served our country.
