First Drill of the season we were excited to welcome cadets back and hear all about their summer adventures. On Saturday cadets covered bi-annual Sexual Harassment/ Fraternization/ Hazing training. In lieu of recent events, XO Yates taught the unit on Mass Shooter, and at the end, cadets got to ask questions.
We also had a great new group of recruits attend the drill weekend and check out our division. During the drill, new recruits got an Introduction to Sea Cadets, Hygiene/Grooming Standards, Basics of Formation, and Facing Movements.
In the afternoon, our families joined us for a picnic and spent some time in the informal environment.
On Sunday LTJG covered the Rules of Engagement with the division and went over PRT requirements.
PO2 Burkut shared her experience of taking forensics training and SN Proa shared his experience in MIO Summer Training.
