April 2024 Drill

Updated: Jun 27

April Drill took place on 13-14 of April 2024 at the RCRPC Range in Milton, WI.

I believe we had a fantastic drill last weekend. XO Yates organized our stay at the Lodge and our visit to the range. All volunteers worked hard to ensure the drill's success, and the cadets did a fantastic job.

Cadets reported to the RCRPC Range in Milton, WI, on Saturday Morning. After a safety brief, cadets split into smaller groups and worked on their riffle training skills. Those new to a riffle started with a 101 Clinic.

In the afternoon, cadets continued their practice and also had riffle qualifications.

When the day was over, the unit moved to the Janesville Masonic Center for the night, where XO Keith Yates taught them a HAM RADIO course.

INDOC company continued working on the Recruit Orientation.

After Evening Chow, Liberty (karaoke and ball included), the day concluded.

On Sunday, the cadets were up at 0700. After breakfast, chow, packing, and clean-up, the unit went back to the range.

Range activities started with a Pistol Practice. In the afternoon cadets participated in pistol qualifications. At the end of the drill, they also took part in the Shooting Tree Competition with Chief Burkut coming out the winner (and SA Demes coming close second).

Over 500 photos have been added to the Facebook group

Marksmanship Results have been entered into cadets' profiles, and those who qualified for ribbons/devices will see them in their portals as well.
